Abstract
The results of the treatment of carcinoma of the cervix by the Manchester method are compared with results obtained by other techniques. The techniques which have yielded superior results have stressed treatment individualization and whole pelvis external irradiation prior to intracavitary radium therapy, when the anatomy is not suitable for the initial delivery of an adequate minimum tumor dose to the periphery of the central tumor by the radium system.
