Soft Tissue Retention of 226Ra in the Beagle

Abstract
Results of measurements of radium retained in soft tissues of beagles from 1 day to 8 years after injection are presented. The relative contribution of soft tissue to total-body retention decreases with increasing time after injection. After 2 months, soft tissue retention is less than 3% of the whole-body content. About 40% of the amount in soft tissue is found in liver, kidneys and spleen.
