Abstract
Recently our laboratory has attempted the synthesis of a beaded poly (dimethylacrylamide) support for use in solid phase peptide synthesis. The preparation of this resin requires the ready availability of N,N'-bisacrylyl-1,2-diaminoethane. To date the only literature preparation of this monomer(1) requires very cold temperatures, ion exchange chromatography, and several recrystallizations resulting in a moderate overall yield. We wish to report here a simple and fast general procedure for the synthesis of N,N'-bisacrylyldiamino-alkanes which results in high yields of pure products. Keywords
