Abstract
A polytype of InSe single crystals is determined to be of γ‐type by means of X‐ray Laue and diffractometer measurements. Polarized Raman scattering studies are carried out at room temperature and the spectra are analysed by using the normal modes of γ‐InSe. Two Raman lines of the A1 mode (118, 228 cm−1) and two of the E mode (43, 180 cm−1) are observed. An additional Raman line at 214 cm−1 is attributed to an LO phonon with E symmetry. Keywords
