Solutions of the Grumman F-14 benchmark control problem

Abstract
In March 1985, an analysis benchmark problem was proposed for the evaluation of software for computer-aided control system design. The control system involved the longitudinal dynamics of the Grumman F-14 aircraft in level flight. Seven solutions have been received and evaluated, and the results are summarized here. In addition, some observations are presented concerning the testing of software capabilities and the preparation of benchmark problems.
