Abstract
The post-zero current that flows in power circuit breakers during the voltage recovery period is calculated from the restored voltage transient, knowing the equivalent circuit for the test circuit. A differential equation for the post-zero current is derived, and numerical methods for solving it by means of an electronic computer are discussed. Data from a typical circuit breaker test are used to illustrate the different numerical methods. Keywords
