Abstract
La répartition régionale des emplois de chercheurs depuis 1963 est analysée selon deux aspects : d'une part le rééquilibrage Paris-Province, lié ou non aux décentralisations, d'autre part les modèles de localisation ayant inspiré l'action du gouvernement. Ces modèles correspondent à un processus de croissance par parachutage géographique des laboratoires, alors qu'a été constamment proclamé le rôle moteur de la recherche scientifique dans le développement régional. L'analyse des î dations informelles nécessaires aux diverses étapes d'un projet de recherche selon la base géographique et les finalités des organisations permet de comprendre les conditions du rôle de la recherche dans le développement régional.Planning and regional development : the case of scientific research. The regional distribution of the employment of researchers since 1963 is analysed according to two aspects : on the one hand, redressing the balance Paris — other regions, tied or not to decentralisation, on the other hand, localisation models having inspired government action. These models correspond to a growth process by geographical parachuting of laboratories whereas the instigating role of scientific research in regional development has constantly been proclaimed. The analysis of the informal relations necessary to the different stages of a research project according to the geographical base and the finalities of the organisations gives an understanding of the conditions of the role of research in regional development.Brocard Madeleine.
