Radiographic Visualization of Coronary Arteries in Postmortem Hearts: A Simple Technic

Abstract
Twenty-five hearts obtained postmortem were studied by a simplified technic for radiographic examination of the coronary arteries. The coronary arteries were evaluated with regard to anatomic pattern, incidence and severity of coronary artery disease, incidence and sites of occlusions, relationships of occlusions to infarction, anastamoses, and clinical and pathologic correlation. The accuracy of representation of the arteries, the values of the additional information provided, and the simplicity of the technic should commend this procedure to any department of pathology for routine use.
