Abstract
Dielectric dispersion data from the literature are reanalyzed using Berne’s self-consistent theory of rotational diffusion. It is found that the Berne theory provides a significantly better representation for pure polar liquids and for mixtures with one polar and one nonpolar component. No conclusions could be drawn from analysis of mixtures with more than one polar component. Keywords
