Abstract
A case of naevus lipomatodes superficialis Hoffmann- Zurhelle, is described which is characterized by unilateral distribution of the cutaneous changes typical of n.l. Additionally, other naevoid anomalies coexisted in the same patient: an angiomatous growth of the lower lip, patches of congenital telangiectasia, bilateral syndactylia in both hands with concomitant slight underdevelopment of the right half of the face. The data presented support the view that the development of the ectopic adipose tissue within the corium in n.l. is a primary phenomenon. The term "naevus adiposo-cellularis" for this condition seems to be more accurate than "naevus lipomatodes".
