Abstract
A direct and simple procedure is given for the renormalization of scalar field theory with self-interaction in a space-time of covering of anti-de Sitter type. It is shown that such a theory is renormalizable if proper boundary conditions at spatial infinity are imposed. Effects due to wave reflection at spatial infinity are taken into account.
