Abstract
The low-frequency normal modes in a semi-rigid molecular crystal involve coupling of external and internal vibrations. A group theoretical method for the lattice dynamics of such crystals is presented. The classification of normal modes and the symmetry-adapted vectors are calculated for the BCC phase of tetracyanoethylene. Keywords
