Abstract
The neutron polarisation analysis technique has been used to measure the isotopic disorder and nuclear-spin incoherent scattering cross sections of pure chromium. The total incoherent scattering cross section is found to be 0.78+or-0.13 barn/atom lower than the previous estimate of 2.54 barn/atom, with the isotopic disorder scattering and the spin incoherent scattering contributing 1.38+or-0.13 barn/atom and 0.38+or-0.08 barn/atom respectively. Keywords
