Abstract
Despite their apparent complexity, remotely-sensed images present a simple structure specific to the remotely-sensed field. Using the concepts of variogram and fractal dimension, this paper proposes a classification of the textures of images based on simple models. Applications are given to segmentation and resampling. Keywords
