Infections With the Therapeutic Soft Lens

Abstract

Six of 36 severely diseased eyes wearing soft contact lenses for therapy for at least two months developed corneal infections. An additional two eyes developed severe conjunctival infections. In eyes wearing soft lenses, treatment with corticosteroids and antibiotics should be avoided, if possible.
