Abstract
The biology of seven species of Anthomyiidae and Cecidomyiidae occurring on bracken is described. Differences in their distribution, related to the amount of canopy cover are outlined. Several errors in the literature concerning the biology and taxonomy are identified and corrected. A simple field key to the works of larvae is included. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
