Abstract
A series of observations, with many figures, has shown that the sizes of lines, circles, squares, triangles, etc., are (a) overestimated when they appear near small-to-medium extents and (b) underestimated when they appear near large extents. The data are considered in relation to a concept of physiological induction. Keywords
