Abstract
The time of day during which tests are conducted has a pronounced effect on the damage sustained by wheat plants exposed to artificial drought. When the day is divided into four six-hour periods, beginning at 6.00 a.m., the period from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon provides the most severe test. In 12-hr. and 18-hr. exposures, relatively severe damage to the plants is associated with the inclusion: of the 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon period. Keywords
