Abstract
The widths of nine energy levels in at 2.125, 4.445, 5.021, 6.743, 6.793, 7.286, 7.978, 8.559, and 8.920 MeV were determined by carrying out self-absorption and photon scattering measurements. The temperature variation of the scattering cross section was measured at K and K to study in some detail the effective temperature of in C, BN, and elemental B. The influence of on the deduced values of the radiative widths of is discussed.
