Abstract
The authors report a novel digital optical switch that is based on polymer rib waveguides with large cross-sections. The switches use the highly thermal stable polymer Cyclotene 3022™ (benzocyclobutene) and show insertion losses of < 3 dB at 1.3 µm and an extinction ratio of > 20 dB.Keywords
