Abstract
The vessels in the human dental pulp have been studied with light and electron microscopy with emphasis on the distribution and the type of vessels present. All vessels were relatively thin walled. Apart from typical arterioles, venules and capillaries, vessels considered as possible arteriolo-venule anastomoses and lymphatics were also observed. In a discussion on the correlation between structure and functions, attention was focussed on anastomoses, capillary permeability and pulp tissue pressure.Keywords
