Abstract
This paper describes measurements of the friction of a fibre (nylon) against a cylinder of dissimilar material (a) Perspex, b) glass) and discusses the effect of a change in cylinder radius. Results were reproducible only when the cylinder surface had been specially cleaned. Keywords
