Abstract
Ectopic pregnancy is the leading cause of maternal mortality in the first trimester of pregnancy. A greater awareness of risk factors and improved diagnostic techniques now allow ectopic pregnancies to be identified before the development of life-threatening events. Non-surgical management options also decrease maternal morbidity. Keywords
