Abstract
In this paper I would like to first review the background to the commercial development of the aromatic polyesters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and then describe some of our recent work on 1) elucidating their structure-property relationships, 2) the effect of the synthetic route, and 3) the role of processing in optimizing properties. Keywords
