Abstract
The clover mite, Bryobia praetiosa, feeds on grasses and other low-growing plants in lawns. It invades homes accidentally while searching for oviposition sites, which normally are the trunks of rough-barked trees and similar surfaces. A two-foot-wide cultivated border outside the foundation of a dwelling is an effective barrier against the clover mite. Temporary control, effective for an entire spring or autumn period of mite activity was obtained by spraying the lower portions of the walls of dwellings, together with a five-foot-wide band of adjacent lawn, with Kelthane 1/4 pint 18% emulsifiable per 5 gallons of water. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
