Abstract
The transient increase in K evoked by epinephrine inj. was considerably less in venous than in arterial blood. A slight increase could pass unobserved if only venous blood was examined. Infusion of epinephrine in the dog resulted in the blood K attaining a peak level within 2 mins. which was succeeded 1 to 2 mins. later by a comparable fall which might be as great as 35% 10 mins. after beginning infusion. Blood K conc, in man following epinephrine inj. underwent alterations identical in kind with those observed in the exptl. animal. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
