Abstract
Several groups of complexing compounds containing nitrogen atoms have been used as ionophores in copper(II)-selective solvent polymeric membrane electrodes. Some of these electrodes showed an impressive linear response in the copper(II) activity range 10–5-10–1 M with a near-Nernstian slope and fairly high selectivity towards other transition metal ions. The internal electrolyte and the conditioning method did not exert a significant influence on the electrode functions. Keywords
