Abstract
Using an incident beam energy of 1.3 Mev, the ratio of electron to positron scattering on atomic electrons has been determined for the case where one-half the incident energy is transferred to the atomic electron. The measured ratio is 1.82±0.11, which agrees with the theoretical ratio of 1.83, calculated from the expressions given by Møller and Bhabha when exchange effects are included. The theoretical ratio, excluding exchange effects, is 1.36.Keywords
