Abstract
The possible etiologies of obesity are numerous. The primary cause may be in adipose tissue or in other tissues that influence energy expenditure. While number and size of fat cells influence the quantity of adipose tissue, new information indicates that changes during maturity in these cellular parameters are also important to the success of a weight-reduction program. Keywords
