Abstract
Suggestion, placebos, and hypnosis can be dramatically effective in breaking up patterns of suffering, thus decreasing some kinds of pain from unbearable to bearable levels. When a pain problem originates from or is complicated by psychologic factors and traditional therapies are unsuccessful, the best alternative is often psychologic counseling. Keywords
