Abstract
A simple independent-quark model based on the Dirac equation with logarithmic confining potential of the form V(r)=(1+)[a ln(r/b)] with a,b>0 is used to calculate the magnetic moments of light, charmed, and b-flavored baryons. Not only do the results obtained for light baryons agree reasonably well with experiment, but also the overall predictions for the charmed and b-flavored baryons compare very well with other model predictions.
