Abstract
The high speed modulation characteristics and performance in optical fibre transmission links of oxide confined vertical cavity surface emitting lasers are reported. The lasers have bandwidths of 13 GHz. Error-free transmission is obtained for both subcarrier modulated multichannel transmission and directly modulated digital transmission at 8 Gbit/s.Keywords
