Abstract
Discharge energy spectra were measured in air at the surface of a dielectric placed in an electric field of intensity V=V0 sin (2 pi nu t), where V0 is of the order of 103 V mm-1 and nu =50 Hz. The creep discharges were studied on the surface of a Seignette salt and an organic glass. An intensive group of discharges of energy of the order of 1 MeV was observed. This high-energy part is of lower intensity in the case of the ferroelectric material (Seignette salt). This fact is inconsistent with the interpretations given by authors who relate the discharges on the ferroelectric material surface to the domain surface. Keywords
