Abstract
Er2Ba2Cu1.1Pt0.9O8 was synthesized successfully by a direct-reaction sintering method with raw materials. Fractured surfaces of sintered compacts are observed. The densities of the specimens sintered at 1400°C are 79.0% of the theoretical density, 8.56 Mg·m-3. Above T≃20 K, the magnetic susceptibility of this compound follows the Curie-Weiss law. Keywords
