Abstract
From the results of X-ray, magnetic and nuclear scattering experiments, the partial structure factors, and hence the pair correlation functions, have been obtained for amorphous TbFe2. The atoms are highly coordinated on a local level, but with practically no order extending beyond second neighbours. The structure is quite distinct from either crystal or liquid order, but certain gross features are similar to each. Keywords
