Abstract

Using a loop antenna in series with a semiconductor laser, am optically coupled electromagnetic field probe has demonstrates sensitivities better than 3 iiV/(m.Hz1/2). The probes outside dimensiOns are equal to 5.7 X 5.7 X 1.3 cm j. It can be used to measure fields with frequencies as high as 2 GHz. The dynamic range is estimated to exceed 6 orders of magnitude for incident microwave powers.© (1986) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
