Abstract
Patients (1879) declared disease-arrested in the Elep Leprosy Project, Dhramapuri, India, were analyzed for the duration of treatment needed for rendering a patient disease-inactive and disease-arrested and the number of relapses occurring among these cases. The relapses are analyzed as to the maintenance and total treatment before relapse and the periodicity of relapse after being declared disease-arrested to determine the minimum treatment needed for disease arrest and the surveillance needed after discharge from treatment.
