Abstract
This study examined the comparative validity of the Harris Point and Quality Scales. When 41 male, child patients were administered these tests as part of a regular psychological evaluation, the scales significantly underestimated criterion IQs. When the data were analyzed from the standpoint of predicting an individual's IQ classification, both scales manifested marked deficits. The Point Scale was more accurate than the Quality Scale in all analyses. Keywords
