Abstract
Shoot tips of three blackberry cultivars, no longer than 1 mm, were isolated and successfully grown in culture, to produce well-developed plants. Optimum conditions for the initial growth phase, bud multiplication and rooting were established. The intrinsic capacity for vegetative propagation of the cultivars is apparently very high, since a variety of media could be used with partial success. The method may be useful in obtaining of virus-free plants. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
