Abstract
Distinctive granular inclusions were observed in the cells of the filamentous desmids Bambusina and Gonatozygon which were not previously recorded. X-ray analysis of those of B. brebissonii and G. brebissonii indicates that they are of calcium sulfate. Those of G. kinahani, like the crystalline inclusions of many other desmid genera, would appear to be of barium sulfate. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
