Abstract
Perceptions of alcoholics in treatment and treatment staff personnel were compared. The Locus of the Drinking Problem scale was administered to a heterogeneous sample of 118 alcoholics and 41 alcoholism treatment personnel. Alcoholics did not take responsibility, blamed themselves and felt in control of their drinking and associated problems, while treatment personnel viewed the alcoholic as responsible, not to blame and not in control. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
