Abstract
The nucleus of the generative cell in L. regale, L. auratum, and L. philippinense passes through a typical mitotic division in the production of the 2 [male] gametes. Three of the chromosomes have median or submedian spindle fiber attachments; the remaining 9 have sub-terminal attachments. A distinct spindle is present and the generative cell is divided by means of a cell plate. The [male] gametes exist as fully organized cells. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
