Abstract
In the last several years, interest in the toxicology of bismuth increased as human cases of intoxication were reported from France [1], Germany [2], Australia [3], and Switzerland [4]. This work attempted to investigate bismuth metabolism and its effects on endogenous compounds in rats. The binding characteristics of bismuth in human serum, taken from patients treated with basic bismuth carbonate, were also investigated. Keywords
