Abstract
Nuclear DNA content of 41 strains of T. monococcum was measured by Feulgen-cytophotometry using pollen tetrads. Strains analyzed belong to the cultivated form, ssp. monococcum (7 strains) and the wild form, ssp. boeoticum (8 strains of aegilopoides type and 26 of thaoudar type) collected from the whole range of its distribution. Analysis of variance revealed remarkable uniformity of nuclear DNA content within this species. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
