Abstract
The Eating Disorder Evaluation Scale (EDES) is a comprehensive instrument for the clinical judgment of the severity of anorectic and bulimic disorders. Four subscales may be differentiated: anorectic preoccupation, bulimic behavior, sexuality, and psychosocial adjustment. The complete questionnaire is presented, together with instructions for its scoring and interpretation, as based upon data from a comparison between 191 eating disorder patients and 174 female controls. Keywords
