Abstract
A combination of proximal vein bypass graft and distal (CO2) gas endarterectomy for revascularizing a diffusely and totally obstructed left anterior descending coronary artery was successfully performed in five patients. This technical improvement provides immediate blood flow in an artery not previously considered amenable to surgical reconstruction. Keywords
