Meningococcal Pneumonia

Abstract
WITHIN a period of a month in 1942, 2 cases of pneumonia in which the meningococcus was implicated, without meningeal involvement, were observed. It has been known for some time that extrameningeal meningococcal infections are not uncommon,1 but the attention directed to the respiratory phase of such infections is very scant.
