Abstract
A comparison is made ol the advantages and disadvantages of using a centralized or integrated organizational structure for patient education. Questions to be considered in the development ol a program and the obstacles to implementation are discussed. Three options for patient education programming are described, using a common cost projection, specific objectives, and activities plan.Keywords
