Abstract
An investigation is made of the angular variations of EPR linewidths of 3d5 ions in crystals with Td symmetry where the effect of internal shear stresses is preponderant. Broadening depends on the R tensor describing the Stark effect and on a single parameter related to the fluctuations of the internal electric field. The chosen model applies correctly to the Fe3+ centre in cubic ZnS.Keywords
