Abstract
This paper makes three emphases. Clinicians are alerted to the dangerous, uncommon neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS). Mental health workers and administrators are encouraged to retain generous medical staffing for the inpatient setting. A case presentation is made to show how difficult the diagnosis of NMS is considering the multiple diagnoses that are possible. Keywords
